Piers

Piers is a significant character in the Pokémon series. He is the older brother of Marnie, the current Gym Leader, and was the former Gym Leader of Spikemuth, as well as the leader of Team Yell. Piers is a slim, tired-looking young man with pallid skin, drooping cyan eyes, and blue-gray eyeshadow. He has long, spiky black-and-white hair styled into three ponytails. He wears a black and magenta shorts jumpsuit with a cropped white jacket featuring magenta diagonal stripes. Piers specializes in using Dark-type Pokémon in battle. Despite his aloof appearance, he is genuinely concerned for his sister and the townspeople. He has a unique perspective on Pokémon battles, viewing Dynamaxing as unnecessarily dangerous. He is also a talented singer and songwriter. His name, 'Piers,' likely derives from 'pierce,' alluding to his love of punk rock and music.
