Ryme

Ryme (Japanese: ライム) is a character in the Pokémon series, first appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She is the Gym Leader of Montenevera Gym, specializing in Ghost-type Pokémon. Ryme is a middle-aged woman with dark skin and white braided hair, the front braid shaped like a skeletal hand and the back braid resembling a ribbon. She has wrinkles, green eyes, and gold makeup on her eyelids and lower lip. She wears a black jacket with gold trim both inside and out, and accessorizes with a gold necklace, Poké Ball-themed earrings, and a backward-worn black baseball cap. Ryme is also a hip-hop artist who enjoys energizing audiences with both rapping and battling. Her name is derived from the word "rhyme," fitting her role as a rapper. In the games, she awards the Gym Badge and TM114 (Shadow Ball) to trainers who defeat her. In the anime Pokémon Horizons, Ryme also appears as a significant character, encouraging one of the protagonists, Roy, and engaging him in Pokémon battles, showcasing her strict yet inspiring nature. Ryme's Pokémon include Houndstone and Toxtricity.
