Tulip

Tulip (Japanese: リップ Lip) is the Gym Leader of Alfornada's Gym in the Pokémon series, officially known as the Alfornada Gym. She specializes in Psychic-type Pokémon. Besides being a Gym Leader, Tulip works as a model and a makeup artist. She focuses on beauty and appearance, often using her Pokémon to assist with her seemingly magical makeup application. Her schedule is very busy due to working on several businesses. Tulip is childhood friends with Dendra and has collaborated with fellow Gym Leader Iono. She doesn't like her boss, Geeta, very much due to the latter's 'bewitching aura' clashing with her style. For her Gym test, Tulip enlists Dendra to help with an ESP exercise, involving a Pokémon battle where the loser does whatever the winner wants. The Gym test also requires the player to express different emotions demonstrated by Dendra and a Medicham. Dendra also mentions that Tulip has always been an overachiever. Upon defeating Tulip, the player receives the Gym Badge and TM120 (Psychic). In The Indigo Disk, Tulip can be invited to Blueberry Academy as a special coach. She will Terastallize her Florges at the first opportunity. Upon the third unique interaction with Tulip in the League Club Room, she will trade a Flittle to the player in exchange for almost any Pokémon excluding Shiny, Legendary, or Mythical Pokémon.
