Acerola

Acerola (Japanese: アセロラ) is a character in the Pokémon franchise, debuting in the games Pokémon Sun and Moon. She is the Trial Captain of the abandoned Thrifty Megamart site on Ula'ula Island, a Ghost-type Trainer, and later becomes a member of the Alola Elite Four. Acerola is a friendly young girl who lives at the Aether House, playing with children and Pokémon. She is the last living member of an Alolan royal family. She assists the protagonist and Lillie in Malie City's library in their search for a book about Alolan Legendary Pokémon. Her trial involves players using the Poké Finder to photograph Ghost-type Pokémon in the abandoned site and ultimately battling the powerful Totem Pokémon Mimikyu. In the Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon anime, Acerola is also a recurring character. She is close friends with Piko and Nene, and she often tells them stories. She also meets Ash, helps him train, and referees his battle against Island Kahuna Nanu. Acerola’s Pokémon include Mimikyu (nicknamed Mimikins) and Shuppet. She often visits the lazy Nanu to ensure he is fulfilling his duties as Kahuna.
