Leon

Leon (Japanese: ダンデ, Dande) is a significant character in the Pokémon franchise, serving as the Pokémon Champion of the Galar region in Pokémon Sword and Shield. He is renowned for his exceptional strength and undefeated record, earning him the titles of "the unbeatable Champion" and "the greatest Trainer in all of Galar." Leon began his journey as a Trainer at the age of 10, and with his initial partner Charizard, he won the Galar League Championship, remaining undefeated ever since. He is also the older brother of the protagonist's rival, Hop. Leon is depicted as a tall man with long purple hair and amber eyes. He often wears a baseball cap, a red fur-lined cape, and a black striped shirt featuring sword and shield motifs. Despite his formidable strength, Leon has a poor sense of direction and often gets lost. His catchphrase is "Let's have a champion time!" In the anime series, Leon also appears as the winner of the World Coronation Series and becomes a major rival for Ash. Beyond the games and anime, Leon is featured in spin-offs like Pokémon Masters EX and Pokémon UNITE.
