Mela

Mela (Japanese: メロコ, Meloco) is a character in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and the boss of Team Star's Fire crew. She specializes in Fire-type Pokémon. She is a young woman with a distinctive hairstyle, characterized by short red hair with a yellow streak, a pale-yellow top, and a fluffy bottom. She typically wears a strapless black bodysuit, a white top with the academy emblem, black fingerless gloves, an orange/purple collar, a loose belt, and red boots with the Team Star emblem. In her academy attire, her hair is a shoulder-length bob, with the yellow streak shifted to the left. Mela is portrayed as steadfast and firm, but is actually very loyal to her friends. She joined Team Star after being bullied for being too cute, and became the leader of the Fire crew. Initially acting tough and overbearing, Mela is kind at heart and supports her teammates. She is responsible for powering up the Team Star Starmobiles, and eventually discovers her passion for art, joining the art club and hoping to pursue it professionally.
