Ortega

Ortega (オルティガ) is a character from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. He is the boss of Team Star's Fairy Crew and a student at either Naranja Academy (Scarlet) or Uva Academy (Violet). He specializes in Fairy-type Pokémon. Ortega comes from a wealthy family that owns a major apparel company in the Paldea region. Despite his affluent background, he was bullied at the academy for bragging about his family's wealth. This led him and other bullied students to form Team Star, a group aimed at combating bullying in the school. Ortega is a gifted mechanic who designed the five unique Starmobiles used by Team Star. While he appears cute and has a sharp tongue, he deeply cares about his Team Star comrades. He strives to maintain a noble and formal persona but is willing to put aside his pride for his friends. Ortega also has a passion for piano and was tutored by the former academy director, Harrington. In the game, he battles the player, awarding them the Fairy Badge and the TM Dazzling Gleam upon defeat. Later, he and the other members of Team Star participate in tutoring and overcome a weakness in literature.
