Eri

Eri (Japanese: ビワ, Biwa) is a character in the Pokémon series, serving as the boss of Team Star's Fighting crew, the Caph Squad. She specializes in Fighting-type Pokémon. Eri acts as a "big sister" figure within Team Star, assisting other bosses with training their Pokémon and mediating disputes. An accomplished athlete, her diligence and disciplined approach help lead Team Star's training regimen. She is willing to fight and take risks to protect her friends. Despite her outwardly aggressive appearance, she is kind at heart and means no harm. Eri joined Team Star after being targeted by her classmates due to jealousy over her being crowned the class queen. Despite this, she showed her kindness by befriending Carmen, the instigator of the rumors, and inviting her to join Team Star. Carmen became appreciative of Eri's kindness as a result. In the games, players must defeat Eri to progress. After her defeat, Eri acknowledges her overconfidence but finds strength in her badge. She rewards players with the Team Star Fighting Badge and TM167 (Close Combat). Furthermore, in Pokémon Masters EX, she forms a sync pair with Annihilape, becoming a playable sync pair on November 9, 2024. Eri also appears in the animation Pokémon: Paldean Winds, showcasing her kindness and bravery by protecting her friends.
