Calaba

Calaba (Japanese: ユウガオ Yūgao) is a character in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. She is a warden of the Pearl Clan, tasked with watching over a special Ursaluna found in the Crimson Mirelands of Hisui. Calaba is a devout member of the Pearl Clan who has a strong adherence to traditional values and was initially distrustful of outsiders. The player first encounters her in the Solaceon Ruins after a section of wall is stolen by the Miss Fortune sisters. She questions the player’s methods of using balms to quell Kleavor’s frenzy, comparing it to bullying. However, she expresses gratitude when the player returns the slab. Calaba gradually changes her perspective and starts to trust others, allowing the player to confront and calm Ursaluna. Later, she can be found at the Brava Arena, where she will let the player rematch Lady Lilligant in place of Arezu. Like most Pearl Clan members, Calaba does not keep her Pokémon partner in a Poké Ball. As a warden, she cares for a special Ursaluna that acts as a Ride Pokémon to assist humans.
