Miriam

Miriam, known as Mimosa (ミモザ) in Japan, is a character in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, serving as the school nurse at Naranja Academy/Uva Academy. She previously worked at a Pokémon Center but became the school nurse after failing to qualify as a health instructor. Inspired by the player's Treasure Hunt journey, Miriam retook the certification test and successfully obtained a teaching position for the next school year. She is close to Gym Leader Dendra, who frequently visits her office for injuries. Miriam also participates in the Academy Ace Tournament. In the game, she uses Toxapex and can trade a Mareanie with the player. Additionally, she appears as a Supporter card in the Trading Card Game, allowing players to shuffle Pokémon from their discard pile back into their deck and draw cards.
