Buck

Buck (Japanese: バク Baku) is a Pokémon Trainer from the Sinnoh region, primarily featured in games like Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, as well as in the anime and manga. He specializes in using Pokémon with high Defense and Special Defense stats. In the games, Buck first appears in the Fight Area, where he teams up with the protagonist to challenge Stark Mountain. His grandfather runs a restaurant in the Battleground, and his older brother is Flint, a member of the Sinnoh Elite Four known for his expertise in Fire-type Pokémon. In the anime, Buck is an amateur treasure hunter, often seen exploring with his partner Baltoy, and he aspires to be an archaeology professor. Buck also appeared in Pokémon Generations, where he worked alongside Looker to battle the Legendary Pokémon Heatran. In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Buck plays a key role, joining the protagonists to foil Team Galactic's plans and has a close connection to the Legendary Pokémon Heatran. His most recognizable Pokémon is his partner, Baltoy.
