Jin has a complex background, being the son of Kazuya and Jun Kazama, inheriting both the Mishima bloodline and the Kazama fighting style. Initially, his goals were to avenge his mother and end the Mishima family's evil. However, as the story progresses, he becomes increasingly troubled by the "Devil Gene" within him, which grants him immense power but also makes him prone to losing control, transforming into a devil form. In Tekken 8, Jin embarks on a challenging path to combat his Devil Gene and confront his father. His character design blends traditional martial arts with modern aesthetics, making him one of the most popular characters in the Tekken series. His storyline is also at the core of the Tekken narrative, driving the series' development.
