Hwoarang

Hwoarang, also known as ファラン (Faran), is a character in the Tekken series, first appearing in Tekken 3 and returning in all subsequent games. In Tekken 8, he continues to be a Taekwondo fighter known for his aggressive offense and varied stances. A student of Baek Doo San, Hwoarang is also a rival to Jin Kazama. In the story, Hwoarang displays a hot-headed, arrogant, and impulsive personality. While respecting his master, Baek Doo San, he is rebellious towards authority. He has a burning desire to fight Jin, a rivalry that transcends the need for victory, rooted more in a personal competitive drive. Despite appearing self-centered, he shows insight and emotional maturity towards those he cares about. In Tekken 8, Hwoarang is characterized by his strong combos and pressure tactics. He requires high execution skills and strategic approaches to leverage his advantages in high-level matches. His offense is diverse, demanding rapid opponent responses, yet his advantages require a measured application in high-skill play. He joined the resistance against the Mishima Zaibatsu, but his primary goal is still to settle his score with Jin.
