Raven is a fictional character in the Tekken fighting game series. He first appeared in Tekken 5 as one of the three new characters and has returned for all subsequent games except Tekken 7, where he was replaced by his superior, Master Raven. Raven is a secret intelligence officer for the United Nations and a member of the Raven Unit. The Raven Unit was founded when Victor Chevalier felt the world was on the brink of being taken over by the Mishima Zaibatsu. Raven is an enigmatic figure, and his personal details like nationality, real name, and age are undisclosed. He typically wears monochrome close-fitting combat gear, thematically linked to popular depictions of ninjas. He has a large X-shaped scar across his face and a black tattoo resembling a stylized kanji for death on his left shoulder. Raven is a versatile character known for his strong mid-range game, and his unique Shadow Sprint stance allows for various approach options and powerful mixups. While boasting high combo damage, he suffers in block punishment and requires creative offense. He returns in Tekken 8, continuing his secret operations and adding to the mystery of the storyline.
