Zafina

Zafina (Arabic: زافينا Zāfīnā, Japanese: ザフィーナ Zafīna) is a playable character in the Tekken series. She is an astrologist whose village was tasked with protecting the tomb of Azazel. Zafina was introduced in Tekken 6 and also appears in Tekken 7 as a DLC character in the third season pass, as well as in Tekken 8 and the spin-off game Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Born in the Middle East to a group of spiritual warriors with an ancient past, Zafina possesses great spiritual abilities. She was raised from childhood to be a protector of an imperial tomb. After single-handedly wiping out a foreign army that attacked the tomb, she was appointed its sole protector. Publicly, Zafina works as an astrologist, but recently, she began to see only evil omens, and her premonitions grew increasingly intense. Seeking guidance, she learned of an ancient prophecy that foretold the breaking of the tomb's seal and the release of a captive, bringing about world destruction when two evil stars met. Zafina believes these stars to be Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. In Tekken 8, she acts to prevent Kazuya from releasing Azazel but is captured, and Azazel is forced from her body. Injured, she tells Jin he needs to return to his birthplace to purify himself and become a star of hope.
