Infernape, known as Goukazaru in Japanese, is a dual-type Fire/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation IV of the Pokémon series, first appearing in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is the final evolution of Chimchar, evolving from Monferno at level 36. Infernape resembles an ape, primarily reddish-brown with white fur on its chest, head, and lower legs. It has gold markings, including swirling patterns on its knees and shoulders, flame-shaped markings on the back of its hands, and a stripe around its chest. A large, unextinguishable flame sits atop its head. Infernape features an orange muzzle, long round ears with blue interiors, and a red ridge over its eyes, with blue eyes and yellow sclerae. It has five blue digits on both its feet and hands, and a long tail. Infernape is known for its unique martial arts style, enveloping its limbs in flames and using fiery punches and kicks, a battle style akin to dancing. It possesses unrivaled speed and agility. Its flame is said to never go out, symbolizing its indomitable fighting spirit. Infernape's design is possibly inspired by Sun Wukong from Chinese mythology, evidenced by its Japanese name, and its fighting style may draw from Monkey Kung Fu.
