Stakataka

Stakataka, known as Tundetunde in Japanese, is a dual-type Rock/Steel Ultra Beast Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Codenamed UB Assembly, it resembles a tower made of stacked gray stones, each of which is actually an individual life-form. These stones usually have blue glowing lines, but they turn red when Stakataka is angered. Stakataka does not evolve and is genderless, making it unable to breed. It boasts incredibly high defense stats and can manipulate its stone structure for attack and defense. Despite its bulky appearance, its legs are powerful enough to break trees. In the Pokémon anime, it dislikes having anything placed on top of it, but it will respect and obey anyone who can successfully ride it. Stakataka's design might be inspired by castle towers, the Japanese yokai Mokumokuren and Nurikabe, and Talaiotic architecture, representing a collective life form. The name "Stakataka" is likely a combination of “stack” and “attack”.
